Introduction - Project Hard

We focus on a classic approach to gameplay, enriched with improvements and well-thought-out changes to systems and items to give them new life. This is a place where you will feel the atmosphere from before the era of alchemy and sashes, but without turning back time - because our goal is to create new memories, not just a return to the old ones.

You will not find exaggerated Item Shop additions or flashy DC lotteries here - instead, pure competition and true satisfaction from gameplay await you.

Enter a world where classic gameplay meets a new level of quality!

We invite you to the presentation of Project Hard!

Here is a showcase of channel switching speed on Project Hard:

    International Community

Project Hard will feature an international community. We are the first server in Poland to implement an advanced in-game translation system.

Supported languages in the game client: English, Polish, Turkish, German, Romanian, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish.

The entire game has been translated: names, descriptions, quest texts, game options, system windows - literally every element of the game. We made sure that every community has easy access to the game and can enjoy playing on Project Hard!

    Contact with Players

Project Hard has been in development for many months. During this time, our social media channels and Discord server were created, which continues to grow larger every day.

Many players share the same mindset as we do regarding how a true Hard server should look and how Project Hard is being built.

On our Discord, active discussions on various game-related topics take place daily, and staying in touch with us is a regular occurrence. So far, dozens of discussion threads have been created, containing thousands of replies from both the community and the administration-covering changes, server direction, and its future.

Players can contact us through Support on the main page, the ticketing system on our Discord server, directly via private messages, or in-game.
We`ve also implemented a system for reporting players suspected of abusing the game. Reports are sent to our team for review and verification of players for botting and other abuse.
Please use the system wisely - it`s intended to eliminate bots, not for mass reporting of players from opposing guilds, etc.

    Focus on Progression

On Project Hard, we place strong emphasis on character progression-reaching high levels and refining your equipment, both PvM and PvP.

For this reason, a special system was created specifically for high-level players. Thanks to it, on selected maps, high-level characters will still be able to drop items and Yang-even with a higher level, they will be treated as lower-level characters. A character`s usefulness does not decrease with further progression as it does on other servers-quite the opposite.

Players can safely aim for the highest levels, unlocking new elements of the game.
MapPlayer LevelMap treats the player as

    Changes to Character Classes

    Class Adjustments - Stat Points
Previously, the Sura, Shaman, and Ninja classes had to invest in two statistics - including Strength - to achieve a similar bonus attack value as the Warrior.

Now, each class uses only one main statistic to calculate bonus attack:
    Warrior - Strength - unchanged
    Sura - Intelligence
    Shaman - Intelligence
    Ninja - Dexterity
This makes stat point distribution simpler and fairer for all classes.

    Changes to Skills
Many important changes have been made to character skills to better adapt them to gameplay on Project Hard.

Our starting point was the original skill values. We want to preserve the traditional class layout so that class advantages in PvM remain visible, while reducing the gap between the strongest PvM classes and the others. At the same time, we are limiting the impact of these changes on PvP, as we do not want to heavily modify them in that regard.

Below you will find a list of the changes.

    Warrior Body
  • Aura of the Sword - attack value reduced by 15% compared to the original game version.
  • Berserk - bonus damage is capped at m10. Higher levels no longer increase the additional damage received.
  • Berserk - changes to attack speed scaling across levels - maximum 40% at P. Movement speed remains unchanged (max 25%).
  • Charge / Sword Spin / Three-Way Cut - slight increase in attack values of these skills to compensate for the loss from Aura in PvP.

  • Warrior Mental
  • Strong Body - movement speed penalty while using Strong Body has been reduced by half.
  • Enhanced Grudge Sword - when a Mental Warrior equips the Grudge Sword, they receive additional attack value, which increases along with weapon upgrades to higher plus levels (max +50 at +9).

  • Sura WP
  • Enchanted Blade - attack value reduced by 15% compared to the original game version.
  • Enchanted Blade - life absorption reduced by 50% compared to the original game version.
  • Finger Strike / Dragon Swirl / Dispel - slight increase in attack values of these skills to compensate for the loss from Enchanted Blade in PvP.
  • Sura WP`s offensive skills will no longer have the ability to completely bypass the opponent`s defense and resistances.
  • Fear no longer guarantees arrow evasion. Reduction of enemies` physical attack power remains unchanged.

  • Sura BM
  • The Dark Protection and Flame Spirit skills can be activated as toggles.
  • Flame Spirit works while mounted and always attacks the selected target. Flame Spirit does not work during polymorph transformation. Flame Spirit deals 50% reduced damage to bosses, in addition to their normal magic resistance. In PvP, its damage is reduced by 40%.
  • Flame Spirit damage scales against Metin Stones together with skill progression:
    1-20 pts - 30%
    M1-M10 - 31%-51%
    G1-G10 - 52%-72%
    P - 100%
  • Dark Protection grants an additional PvE Attack Value bonus (extra attack against monsters only), calculated based on character stats: INT / VIT / DEX, as well as the development level of Dark Protection.
  • Dark Protection gains damage reduction scaling depending on skill upgrade level:
    1-20 pts - 11%
    M1-M10 - 11%-21%
    G1-P - 22%-33%
For PvP - damage received from other players is a maximum of 22%.
  • The monster damage bonus from Dark Protection remains active during polymorph transformation.
  • Enhanced damage of Fire Strike, Dark Sphere, and Spirit Strike skills.
  • Enhanced Lion Sword - when a BM Sura equips a Lion Sword, they gain additional Attack Value, which increases together with higher weapon upgrade levels (max +50 at +9).

  • Ninja Dagger
  • Attacking with daggers uses the same animation and range on horseback as sword attacks. Mounted dagger attacks are additionally strengthened to balance their damage with on-foot attack speed.
  • Has an additional passive skill in the character`s Standard Skills - Killer Instinct. No skill points are required to invest in this skill.
  • The passive skill grants a PvE Attack Value bonus (extra attack against monsters only), based on character stats: DEX / VIT / STR and the development level of the Ambush skill.
  • This bonus is active only when daggers are equipped. It works during mounted attacks and remains active during polymorph transformation.
  • The Stealth skill can be activated while moving.

  • Ninja Archer
  • Attacking with daggers uses the same animation and range on horseback as sword attacks.
  • Feather Walk grants an additional PvE Attack Value bonus (extra attack against monsters only), calculated based on character stats: DEX / VIT / STR and the development level of Feather Walk.
  • The duration of Feather Walk has been doubled. Maximum movement speed bonus from this skill reduced to a maximum of 43%
  • The Archer can attack more targets with a bow - one additional arrow is gained at level 30, with further increases depending on the development of the passive skill Combo Art. The maximum number of targets is 4.
  • The Archer cannot attack multiple targets with a bow while mounted. This does not work when attacking other players in PvP.
  • Arrows do not exist in the game. The Ninja has access to a basic quiver with unlimited uses, available for purchase from the Weapon Merchant. As the Ninja levels up, better quivers can be purchased for Yang from the Weapon Merchant. These quivers are time-limited and provide slightly higher additional attack values.
  • A custom mechanic has been added for Ninja Archer - when mounting a War Horse or Military Horse, the equipped bow is converted into a sword of the same level and upgrade stage. This allows mounted combat as if using a sword, without the need to create an additional weapon for Metin Stone destruction or mounted leveling. While attacking on horseback, the base sword statistics (weapon attack value) are used, while bonuses 1-5 and Soul Stone bonuses from the bow are preserved. Use of this system is optional. On a War Horse or Military Horse, the player can switch between sword mode and bow mode and continue using the bow as before.

  • Dragon Shaman
  • Attacking with a fan uses the same animation and range on horseback as attacking with a bell.
  • Blessing, Dragon`s Aid, and Reflection cast on oneself apply at 100%. For other characters, the effectiveness depends on the Shaman`s level: up to level 60 it is 80% and increases to 100% with Shaman level - reaching 100% at level 80.
  • An additional buff has been added to Dragon`s Aid, Blessing, and Reflection that applies only to the Shaman. This PvE Attack Value bonus (extra attack against monsters only) is calculated based on character stats: INT / VIT / DEX and the development level of these skills.
  • When Blessing, Dragon`s Aid, or Reflection is cast on allies, only the standard bonus is applied. The Attack Value PvM bonus is intended for personal use only.

  • Healer Shaman
  • Attacking with a fan uses the same animation and range on horseback as attacking with a bell.
  • Attack Increase - the attack value bonus has been replaced with a PvE Attack Value bonus (extra attack against monsters only), calculated based on character stats: INT / VIT / DEX and the development level of Attack Increase.
  • Attack Increase grants an additional Magic Attack Value bonus that scales with skill progression. It applies to both PvP and PvM damage against monsters.
  • Attack Increase also grants an additional PvE Magic Attack Value bonus (extra magic attack against monsters only), scaling with skill progression.
  • Attack Increase can only be used on the caster.
  • Agility cast on oneself applies at 100%. For other characters, effectiveness depends on the Shaman`s level: up to level 60 it is 80% and increases to 100% with Shaman level - reaching 100% at level 80.
  • Healing skill cooldown increased from 10 seconds to 14 seconds.

  • Does this change the class design we know?
No. Sura WP and Warrior Body will still have the highest PvM damage and can be considered the best for PvM, despite the reduced values. Our goal is not to completely equalize the classes. We want to preserve the traditional class distribution so that PvM strengths remain visible, while slightly reducing the gap between the strongest PvM classes and the others. The above class adjustments do not change the position of the Body Warrior or Sura WP. They are still at the top when it comes to PvM, but these changes give other classes more opportunities.

We consider the implemented changes necessary to encourage players to choose other classes, where the adjustments are intended to slightly improve their PvM performance.

We made sure that the impact of these changes on PvP is as minimal as possible, in order to preserve the natural class balance in this aspect.

    Equipment Changes

Changes have been made to many equipment pieces and jewelry to give them new life and better adapt them to Project Hard. Some bonuses were changed and equip level requirements for certain items were standardized.

This was done to prevent a single type of item from dominating, make more item types useful, and allow players to better tailor their equipment to the statistics required by their character classes.
    Earrings
  • The equip level for earrings with stats: Wooden / Gold / Copper / Silver has been standardized to level 12.
  • The equip level for earrings with stats: Jade / Ebonite / Pearl / White Gold has been standardized to level 33.
  • The bonuses of level 33 earrings have been changed - each of these earrings will now grant a character stat and additional HP, as previously seen with Ebonite Earrings.
  • The equip level for earrings with stats: Crystal / Amethyst / Blue Tears has been standardized to level 54.
  • Strength was added to Amethyst Earrings instead of Vitality, resulting in three earring types for classes:
  • Amethyst - Strength
    Blue Tears - Intelligence
    Crystal - Dexterity
  • All level 54 earrings received bonuses similar to Blue Tears and Amethyst Earrings, as well as HP from level 33 earrings, to make them more attractive compared to level 33 earrings.

  • Necklaces
  • The equip level for necklaces with stats: Jade / Pearl / Ebonite / White Gold has been standardized to level 42.
  • The equip level for Crystal / Amethyst / Blue Tears necklaces has been standardized to level 54.
  • The bonus on the Crystal Necklace has been changed.

  • Bracelets
  • The equip level for Ebonite / Pearl / White Gold bracelets has been standardized to level 42.
  • The equip level for Crystal / Amethyst / Blue Tears bracelets has been standardized to level 54.
  • Changed bonuses in Gold and Cristal Bracelets.
  • The stamina bonus on the Wooden Bracelet was replaced with a skill duration extension bonus.
  • The bonuses on Copper and Jade Bracelets were replaced: Copper Bracelet now adds % damage to MP, and Jade Bracelet adds % damage to HP.
  • The bonuses on Pearl and Amethyst Bracelets were replaced: Pearl Bracelet now grants a chance for Piercing Hit, and Amethyst Bracelet grants a chance to Stun.

  • Boots
  • The equip level for Leather Boots / Jade Boots / Bronze Boots / Gold Boots has been standardized to level 29.
  • Changed bonuses for Bronze Boots, Jade Boots, Golden Boots, and Firebird Shoes.
  • The base defense of level 29 boots was standardized to 3 points.
  • The equip level for Ecstasy / Phoenix / Rain / Fire Bird boots was standardized to level 55.
  • The casting speed bonus on Ecstasy Boots and arrow evasion on Rain Boots were strengthened.
  • The base defense of level 55 boots was increased from 5 to 8 points.
  • The base defense bonus of boots below level 29 was standardized to 1 point.

  • Helmets
  • Defense on level 41 helmets was increased by several points at +7/+8/+9 for all classes to better distinguish them from level 21 helmets.
  • Level 60 helmets are not available as drops - the block chance bonus was added to level 41 helmets instead.
  • High-Level Equipment

High-level equipment has been added to introduce endgame content. This equipment is designed for characters level 80+,and will fully realize its potential in the Grotto of Exiles.

Our goal is to allow continued progression for those striving to reach the highest levels. These items will not affect early gameplay in any way. They are intended for characters who have firmly established themselves in endgame locations.Rare high-level items will serve as motivation and a goal for building the strongest possible character.
Soul Crystal Jewelry - level 85
Soul Crystal equipment features enhanced bonuses compared to level 54 jewelry and also strengthens you in battles against Setaou.

    Necklace, Bracelet - Azrael Chest
    Earrings - Craft at Seon-Pyeong
Required key upgrade for earrings: Blue Soul Cristal (Azrael Chest)

    Titan Shield - level 81
Provides resistance to boss skill damage as well as class resistance. Its standard skill resistance bonus has been split for better controlover its impact in PvM and PvP.
The Titan Shield will be an invaluable aid in battles against Setaou and in high-level PvP encounters.

Source: Azrael Chest, Strong Ice Witch

    Helmets level 80 / 95
Level 80 helmets are an excellent choice for equipment in the Grotto of Exiles.
Level 95 helmets are endgame equipment that significantly strengthen your character in both PvM and PvP. Despite the built-in Strong against humans bonus, it can be re-gained in them in bonuses 1-5.

    Source:
Level 80 helmets - Dead Ripper Chest
    Level 95 helmets - Beran-Setaou Chest

    Boots 85+
The required equip level increases along with the upgrade level. Gloria Boots received a bonus change focused on PvP.

Origin: Phoenix and Rain Boots Upgrade
Required Key Upgrade Item: Gloria/Qilin Recipe
    Recipe Origin: Beran Setaou`s Box

    Setaou Armors
These are by far the most difficult and valuable items to obtain in the entire game, symbolizing determination and true mastery.Only a few will manage to acquire them.

Source: Upgrade from level 70 Armor +9
Required Key Upgrade Item: Setaou Soul
Setaou Soul source: Beran-Setaou Chest, Strong Ice Witch

A New Life for level 70 Weapons
Level 70 weapons now require level 85 to equip. They can only be obtained from the Beran-Setaou Chest or Azrael Chest with a small drop chance.

All weapons have a built-in Strong against Humans bonus that increases with the weapon`s upgrade level (up to 20% at +9). Their remaining stats have been balancedto match level 65 weapons used for PvP. Despite the built-in Strong against humans bonus, it can be re-gained in them in bonuses 1-5.

They will become another goal for high-level players actively participating in PvP and battles across various areas of the game, as well as an alternative - superior - PvP weaponat higher levels.

Changes to weapons above level 25

All weapons above level 25 have been changed to include two additional bonuses: Attack Value PvM and Magic Attack Value PvM.
This was done so that they can be used as alternatives to level 30 weapons while progressing towards level 75 weapons, which are best for PvM.The changes do not eliminate the ability to use level 30 weapons with high average damage - they will still perform very well if someone acquires such a weapon.

The additional bonus scales with the levels of subsequent weapons, also taking into account their base attack values.
You can view it on our server Wikipedia in the weapon list or by holding the SHIFT key while hovering over the weapon.
Weapons do not have any hidden Average Damage or Skill Damage.

Additionally, the attack speeds of individual weapons have been standardized. This means high attack speed weapons won`t dominate anymore, and you`ll be able to see the full variety of available weapons on the server.

In short, this does not mean significantly higher damage than before - the values were adjusted so there is no forced need to use level 30 weapons with Average Damage.

This is our own solution and works great because it separates the PvM aspect from the character`s PvP damage, which is maintained in a very similar format you know from the old days.

    Spirit Stones

The maximum Spirit Stone level is +4. The chance of successfully adding a Spirit Stone to a slot is 35%.
The Magic Spirit Stone bonus has been changed to % damage added to MP.
The amount of HP obtainable from the Vitality Stone has been increased.
Increased the defense points that can be obtained from the Defense Spirit Stone.

    Changes to required upgrade materials

Appropriate changes have been introduced to the required upgrade materials for various types of equipment - adjusted so that upgrading lower-level equipment is more accessible to players.

The impact of pearls on lower-level equipment has been reduced. They were replaced with other upgrade materials.
Upgrade materials were added for level 30 weapons.

All changes can be previewed in-game in the Wikipedia window.

    -

    Server Wikipedia

For player convenience, a server Wikipedia has been added. You will find the source of every item in the game there.

A preview of chest contents has been added - you can search for and check a chest`s contents without needing to have it in your inventory.

We added a preview of required upgrade materials and currency for every upgradable item in the game. Players can check needed items in the Wikipedia, search for items in offline shops directly from the Wikipedia, check the source of upgrade materials with a single click, and preview bonus values of higher-level equipment.

    Village Guard Support

The traditional stamina/endurance system has been changed. The bonus has been removed from items that previously had it.

Each player starts with a pool of 600 stamina points, and this is the maximum value.

Each player`s stamina regenerates by 1 point per minute while in-game, and by 5 points every 8 minutes while the character is logged out.

The Village Guard allows you to use the accumulated stamina points on your character by exchanging them for a timed +10% movement speed bonus. The more stamina points you spend, the longer the bonus duration.

The bonus duration only decreases while the character is logged into the game.

    Available options:
  • 1h - 180 points
  • 2h - 300 points
  • 4h - 500 points

  • After claiming the bonus, it will be displayed for review in the top-left corner of the game.

    Locations

Below we present the locations you will find on Project Hard. You will encounter familiar enemies and Metin Stones there.
On most maps, Metin Stone respawn time ranges from 10-15 up to 30 minutes, and it is intentionally randomized.

On some maps, such as Monkey Dungeons, Hwang Temple, Snake Field, and Guild Lands, Metin Stones have been added to dedicate even more locations for player exploration.

Metin Stones appear in areas you know from the original version of the game. On some maps above the second city, additional Metin Stones were added that can spawn at a random place on the map.

All bosses and minibosses are roaming and can appear in completely random locations across the entire map. The exception to this rule are bosses marked on maps with a skull icon and bosses in the Monkey Dungeon.

Bosses marked on maps spawn at specific times and have a larger HP pool as well as valuable drops.

On certain locations such as Spider Dungeon or the Red Forest, a minimap was added where it previously did not exist.

They will be the stage for constant battles over drops between guilds and kingdoms of Project Hard.

The bosses presented are/were available to players during the BETA tests in order to fine-tune them. At server launch, they will start appearing gradually as the number of characters able to compete for them in these locations increases. Expeditions

Expedition passes can only be obtained in-game from various sources.
There is no waiting time to re-enter expeditions; however, there is a weekly entry limit for each expedition, applied to every character in the party.

The flow has been refreshed compared to the original in the case of the Demon Tower, Azrael`s Catacombs, and the Beran-Setaou Lair.

An option has been added to go to a Private Demon Tower for characters of at least level 75.

The NPC responsible for crafting passes for early expeditions and the Private Demon Tower is Soon - you can find him in the first city.

    Balso Hideout - level 30

The first expedition available to players. In the final phase, you can choose one of three available opponents, each with different drops depending on the player`s choice.

    Notes:
The Balso Traitor has strong allies. You can fight:
the Captain to have a chance to drop level 30 weapons, the Strong Monkey for a chance at a Horse Medal, or the Maniac, from whom you can obtain Empty Servant Marbles.

    Orc Challenge - level 45

The Orc leader challenges you. Defeat him and claim his loot!

    Notes:
The Strong against Orcs bonus and high defense will be useful here. Hordes of enemies guard the Orc leader. Prepare your equipment well before heading into this place.

    Demon Tower - DT - level 40

Entry from level 40 (up to the Blacksmith), then level 75 is required to access the higher floors.

    Notes:
Some floors received small changes intended to improve the Demon Tower and highlight character progression. You will also be able to enter the Private Tower from character level 75 after presenting a pass.

    Azrael`s Catacombs - level 80

Pass the trials of the Catacombs to face Azrael! From his chests you can obtain rare high-level equipment that will strengthen you in battles against Setaou.

    Notes:
Defeating Azrael is no small feat. On the way, you will defeat his elite generals and Charon. Find strong companions and challenge Azrael to a duel together!

    Beran`s Lair - level 85

The ruler of all Setaou. To enter his domain, you will need Twisted Keys, which can be obtained in the Grotto of Exiles.

    Notes:
Beran is guarded by the finest warriors of the Setaou bloodline. Gather a strong party and defeat the strongest of the Setaou.

    Return to the Expedition

If the connection is lost or logged out during the expedition, the character does not automatically lose access to the ongoing instance. From this moment, the player has exactly 5 minutes to log in again and return to the expedition. Entry is through the Mission Scroll. After logging in again, simply use the mission scroll to return to the active expedition.

After exceeding 5 minutes, the possibility of returning expires and the expedition is treated as abandoned.

    Weekly Dungeon Limits

When entering dungeons, characters consume their weekly entry limit for that dungeon.
After fully using the limit, you won`t be able to participate in further runs until the limits reset.

The maximum number of upgrades in the Demon Tower depends on your character level. This amount increases as your level goes up. Weekly limits reset every Sunday at midnight.

    Alliances and Enemies
Guilds can form alliances with each other and add other guilds as enemies. Members of allied guilds will not attack each other on maps when using Guild PvP mode or Free mode. Members of enemy guilds will deal damage to each other regardless of the selected PvP mode. Each guild can add up to 2 enemies and 2 allies. They must be in the same kingdom as the guild.

  • -

How do you level up a guild?
The guild has its own storage, where members deposit the required GEM currency to reach subsequent guild levels. Once there is enough in the storage, the leader can begin the guild upgrade process. It can take from a few hours at low levels to several days at higher guild levels.

    -

    Application System
The guild leader can enable an application system in the guild window, giving players without a guild the ability to submit an application and see what your guild has to offer.

    Guild Wars
Guild wars have been refreshed and many improvements and fixes have been added. They take place on the standard war map. After the war ends, each player will see a summary window with war stats. The lists can be freely sorted by the statistics you are interested in.

    -

    Training Guild Wars
The rank - War Council - or the leader can create a training war. In a specially prepared window, you must choose exactly which members should be in Group A and which in Group B. If someone should not take part in the war, leave "None"

    Riding - Mount Quests

A normal horse can be obtained at character level 20. You must deliver a Horse Medal to the Stableman and complete a quest to kill Wild Archers within a limited time. After completing the Stableman quest, the option to upgrade riding will be unlocked.

Each character can develop their riding skill up to a maximum of level 61.

The skill is developed by delivering the required items to the Stableman. You no longer need to do point-to-point riding quests - it is enough to deliver the items in the specified amount.

When upgrading riding, a 23-hour cooldown is applied for the next upgrade - so that everyone, despite their daily responsibilities, can do this task at the same time each day.

Horse Medals can be obtained from Monkey Dungeons or from the level 30 expedition by choosing the appropriate boss as your opponent. The expedition does not guarantee a medal drop-only a small chance.

Riding is an important system and it is worth developing. Besides the ability to attack from horseback, reaching further milestones permanently increases your character`s Attack Value (the bonus also works when the character is not mounted).
To unlock higher riding levels, the appropriate character level is required.

The quests for the Battle Horse and Military Horse remain as you know them - additionally, at higher stages of riding, more quests have been added to discover in-game!

Items required to advance to higher horse levels can be crafted at the Stableman.

Several improvements have been made to the horse system.
  • Prevented the horse menu from opening while the character is performing attacks on the ground.
  • Once the horse is summoned, it will no longer be able to be summoned again – no mana will be drained.
  • The horse teleports with the character to the next location or channel, regardless of whether the character is mounted or not.

    GEM Points

They are used for upgrading equipment to high plus levels from +6 to +9 depending on the equipment level, as well as for crafting certain items.

The system is very simple. You exchange obtained upgrade materials from maps for points in the first window, and then use the points as needed.

In the GEM shop you can purchase many useful items.

It contains items used to craft Item Enhancements, Item Enchantments, and Blessing Marbles.

GEM points are a very important currency that will ensure long-term demand for upgrade materials from various level ranges and maintain appropriate prices over time.

    -

    Offline Shops

The Offline Shop offers unparalleled convenience. You`ll find it in your inventory panel.
We also have an advance shop search system so players can easily locate shops containing the items they want. You can search for a specific item, an upgrade range from +0 to +9, and items with bonuses. Players can search for missing upgrade materials from the equipment upgrade window or from the Wikipedia window.

The shop system includes a large number of management improvements focused on player convenience. You can change prices of all identical items in the shop, list items in bulk from your inventory, and shops have a duration of 14 days.

We improved the shop placement process itself - fixing an issue related to placing a shop too close to others, and our optimization allows for thousands of shops placed in each city.

    Teleportation and Position Save

To reach selected locations, you must use traditional teleports or use the help of the Old Man / Teleporter.

Teleport scrolls can be used from character level 50. After teleporting with a scroll, a 30-minute cooldown is applied before using another saved location. You can save positions in locations such as V2 or the Grotto of Exiles, but during teleportation the entry pass will be consumed, just as with normal entry to these maps.

You cannot save locations in the first and second cities or in the monkey dungeons.

This was designed so that these scrolls make the game more enjoyable as an occasional teleport to favorite locations from time to time, but cannot be abused.
    -

    -

    War Curse

The War Curse has 10 levels and is applied to a player who is killed by another player on selected maps. The curse lasts 5 minutes and with each subsequent death it refreshes back to the full 5 minutes and advances to the next level. The first two deaths only display curse information - without changing anything for the player.

From curse level 3 onward, with each subsequent level the player receives an additional 5 seconds of waiting time before standing up - up to a maximum of 40 seconds at curse level 10.

You cannot change channels or log out while the player has stand-up time remaining during higher curse levels. Logging out through another game window has been secured. After 5 minutes without dying, the curse expires and everything returns to normal.

The system is intended to increase the emphasis on PvP equipment and, during prolonged fights over bosses/metins, create an opportunity to finish off a target when one side has a waiting time to get up from the ground.

    Free PvP Mode

Equipment drops when a character has a negative rank are activated from level 30, so players can feel the potential consequences for killing other players in free PvP mode. As in the standard version of the game, players can counteract negative ranks by using items associated with them.

    Life / Mana Elixirs

On Project Hard, you will not find the traditional Sun and Moon Elixirs. They have been replaced with Life and Mana Elixirs.

This is not just a name change! Elixirs can be obtained by completing a questline after reaching character level 40, and they cannot be traded - each character must obtain their own elixirs.

Each obtained Elixir starts at +0 and can be upgraded up to +9.

Elixirs increase their capacity and provide additional bonuses for the character, which scale with their progression. With each upgrade, the minimum character level required to use them increases.

They do not disappear after being used - you can refill them with regular potions obtained in-game or from the General Store Merchant.

    Polymorph

Several changes have been made to the Polymorph system compared to the original version of the game:
  • The damage of all Polymorph Marbles has been equalized to match the damage of the Savage Minion Marble.
  • When transformed using a Polymorph Marble, regardless of the character`s equipment, Defense will always be set to 100 points.
  • When transformed using a Polymorph Marble, the character cannot teleport using the Wedding Ring.
  • Within the appropriate level ranges, players can complete repeatable quests to obtain Empty Marbles, which can be filled for a Yang fee at the General Store Merchant.
  • Each quest can be completed a limited number of times per character; after reaching the limit, it will no longer be available on that character.
  • Empty Marbles serve as a supplement to the server`s marble supply due to wedding ring teleport being disabled and the higher demand for marbles in later stages of the game.
  • Empty Marbles can also be obtained from boss chests and as drops during the Balso Hideout Expedition or the Orc Challenge.
  • The Empty Marble system is only an additional feature - standard Polymorph Orbs can still be obtained from the normal drop of their corresponding monsters.

  • The Polymorph system is used especially in the late game to defeat high-level bosses that have a large amount of HP and regeneration.

    Inventory Expansion

At the start of the game, every player has access to 2 inventory pages. After reaching level 45, you can visit the Warden to complete the Inventory Expansion quest.

After completing the quest, 2 additional inventory pages will be added, and their slots must be unlocked using a special item.

You can obtain this item by completing further quests from the Warden, which will take you to various places and will require not only character strength but also knowledge of the game.

Quests appear every few levels from character level 45 to 75. You can unlock access to subsequent quests by completing the previous Warden quests.

Players will gradually expand their inventory along with character progression and leveling, so that after the final quest they unlock the last slots and have an additional 2 inventory pages.

    In-Game Weddings

To get married, characters must be at least level 25, be equipped with wedding outfits, and have an Engagement Ring.

The wedding ceremony is performed by the Old Lady in each first city for a fee of 1,000,000 Yang.

Wedding items can be purchased from the Wandering Merchant. Only male characters can buy tuxedos, while female characters can buy dresses and a bouquet. Wedding items are not tradable.

After the wedding, you can keep these items on your characters as a keepsake or sell them to any NPC in the game for half of their purchase price.

Teleporting with the Wedding Ring has a 5-minute cooldown between each use. The cooldown is separate for each character.

Teleporting with the Wedding Ring while transformed in polymorph has been disabled.

After the wedding, characters who are in the same party will gain Love Points for killing monsters.Collected points can be used in the Old Lady`s shop to purchase marriage items.

    Quests

On Project Hard, you will find over 100 custom quests spread across different stages of the game. All quests in the game have been rebuilt from scratch, and their rewards have been properly adjusted.

Among the new quests to discover, we have included several classic quests, as well as Biologist quests, Metin Stone hunts, and monster hunting quests. Below you will find a summary table of the Biologist quests, which are the most important due to the bonuses they provide.

The drop of quest items and Biologist stones after completing quests has been kept in a classic form.

The first three Biologist quests have been improved: Orc Teeth, Curse Books, and Demon Keepsake. The cooldown for turning in an item in these quests will now only be applied if the player successfully submits the item.

Thanks to this, players will be able to reach the level 60+ Biologist quests a bit faster. This promotes character progression to higher levels in order to complete further Biologist quests and obtain additional bonuses.

Biologist quests can be turned in every day, and the timer for submitting each next item resets at midnight.

Rewards have been slightly adjusted to better fit Project Hard.

    Repeatable Quests / Quest Books

The game features many repeatable quests that reset daily at midnight or every 24 hours. Additionally, players can complete Quest Book tasks, which are obtained as drops from monsters, Metin Stones, and bosses.

All quests of this type have been grouped and marked with special icons in-game for better clarity.

Some quests have a maximum number of completions and cannot be repeated infinitely every day. Such quests include appropriate information in their descriptions.

Our quest window includes quest categories and a search function, making navigation much easier.

From repeatable quests and Quest Books, players can receive various rewards, Yang, and completed quest chests with valuable loot.

    Statistics Window

Each character has a statistics window that records the character`s achievements on every possible map in the game.
In addition to the summary preview, players can view detailed statistics of each map and set the calculation of temporary character statistics with the option of resetting them.

The statistics window is located under the "J" key. They can also be activated from the character status window.

    Character Potions

Project Hard features familiar character-enhancing potions. All of these items can be obtained in-game.

The drop rate of plants from monsters has been adjusted to encourage players to craft supportive potions. Waters can be crafted at Yu-Hwan, and Dews at Huahn-So.

Dews and Waters have bonuses tailored to Project Hard. In the case of Dews, there are no random values or durations - everything has been standardized.

The available movement speed and attack speed potions have been changed. Only one type of each potion listed below is obtainable, and each guarantees a 10% bonus.

It is worth noting that each type of enhancement has a required character level in order to be used. As your character level increases, the pool of usable potions expands.

    Mining

    Mining
A Pickaxe can be purchased from Deokbae. The Pickaxe always has a 100% chance to upgrade to the next level, but special upgrade materials have been added, and the required character level increases with each upgrade.

Ores spawn randomly in their standard locations as in the original version of the game. They remain available for 8-12 minutes. The remaining time before an ore disappears is displayed above it from the moment of the first interaction.

The option to mine using the spacebar has been added. Automation is not possible thanks to this improvement. This feature is secured and serves only as a quality-of-life improvement for players mining ores.

    Fishing

    Fishing
Fishing is available from level 35. A Fishing Rod can be purchased from the Fisherman. The rod always has a 100% chance to upgrade to the next level, but a special upgrade item has been added - the Fisherman`s Coin. As the rod is upgraded, the minimum character level required to use it increases.

Coins can be obtained by exchanging opened fish and small fish at any Fisherman.

Fishing is only possible in the first cities after completing a simple quest from the Fisherman and delivering a fishing permit from the GEM Shop. After completing the quest, the character receives a fishing permit for a duration based on their character level. The higher the level, the longer the fishing time.

    35-45 lvl - 2 hours
    46-60 lvl - 3 hours
    61 lvl+ - 4 hours

The fishing pool includes many standard items, but we made sure that upgrading the fishing rod provides the best possible results and is always a worthwhile choice.

Keep in mind that at lower rod upgrade levels, higher-tier fish may still appear, but they cannot be caught with a lower-level rod.Added biologist missions requirement to equip fishing rods to higher levels.

    Mining / Fishing

    1 Device - 1 Character
Ore mining and fishing can be performed by a maximum of one character per activity on a single device. If the same action is attempted on another account, it will be interrupted.

Appropriate logging of mined ores, caught fish, and characters performing these activities has been added for better verification by our GMs.

    Max 3 Accounts + Anti-Theft Protection

On Project Hard, a maximum of 3 accounts can be logged into the game simultaneously on a single device.

This restriction is device-based, not IP-based - if multiple people play in the same household or on the same IP, they can log in from their own devices without issues.

We also use an anti-theft protection system. If someone logs into an account from a new device for the first time, email verification will be required on the address linked to the account.

This can be managed through the control panel on the server`s main website.

We Take Care of the Economy

The server economy is very important to us. Many systems are based on upgrade materials and Yang to ensure demand for the items players obtain.

Additionally, various changes have been introduced in the game to protect the server economy and the value of items across different stages:

  • The amount of Yang required to upgrade many items has been changed, especially at higher upgrade levels.
  • The NPC sell price of items has been globally reduced and adjusted - for both lower- and higher-level items. This also applies to other items, e.g. potions at the General Store Merchant.
  • No town return scrolls - teleport scrolls are available from level 50 and have a cooldown between uses; you cannot save positions in the first and second cities. This limits frequent returns to town using SM.
  • Small amounts of Yang have been added to various crafting processes. This is not invasive and the amounts are not large, but it removes significant quantities of Yang from the server over time.
  • The Yang and GEM cost of upgrading at Guild Blacksmiths and in DT has been increased.
  • Guild Blacksmiths will not return Yang to guild leaders - their purpose is to remove Yang from circulation, not enrich a narrow group of players. This will also be reflected in the cost of placing them on guild territories.
  • Yang drop is standard, as in the classic version of the game. We checked all monsters and locations for excessively high Yang drops.
  • There are no excessive amounts of Yang from quests or other side sources.
  • There is no tax on selling items to NPCs, but this is accounted for in crafting and upgrading, where the Yang fees have been increased.
  • A 5% tax is applied to sales on the offline shop, based on the sale value of each item.
  • Some items such as enchantments and enhancements require large amounts of Yang and upgrade materials in their crafting recipes. They are not available in the Item Shop, so demand for upgrade materials used to strengthen equipment will be very high.
  • Wedding items are not tradable, which prevents lending them - more Yang is removed from circulation.
  • Creating additional accounts and logging extra characters to spam repeatable quests is forbidden.
  • Creating additional accounts and logging extra characters to upgrade in the Demon Tower (so-called “pillars”) is forbidden - players have access to 3 logged-in accounts simultaneously for upgrading (as allowed by the farmblock).
  • The upgrade limit in the Demon Tower depends on the character level and increases along with it. This will significantly increase the value of items upgraded to +8/+9.
  • TOP Rewards

Reaching the maximum levels is not something we expect in the near future. We made sure the gameplay is spread out over time and appropriately challenging, especially at higher levels.

However, this does not mean there will be no rewards announced for achieving maximum levels.
We want to reward the Master or Mistress of each profession. Project Hard provides 8 main rewards - for reaching the first level 99 for each profession.

We have taken many steps to ensure other classes are also chosen as main characters. The same applies here. Each profession competes within its own group!

The reward pool includes classic Hwang Costumes - there will be 8 of them, one for each profession - a VIP package for several months, and 60,000 Dragon Coins.

The total DC pool is 480,000 Dragon Coins.

    Guild Tournaments

Regular tournaments are planned, with guild registrations and prior announcements on our Discord server. Their frequency will depend on player activity in PvP and interest in participating in such events.

We expect in-game rewards for winning guilds in the form of Dragon Coins or small gifts, depending on the scale of the events. The main goal is to increase activity in this area of the game and enable tournaments to be organized not only by the administration, but also by players.

All planned events will be announced on our Discord server in the appropriate sections.
The first ones will be announced a few weeks after the server launch - depending on the development of players and guilds.

    Item Shop

From the very beginning, we have approached our Item Shop transparently and what we want to include in it.

We have the cheapest Item Shop on this game`s scene.

Player comfort and gameplay quality are our priorities - that is why there are no Item Enchantments, which create a massive gap between players.

The Item Shop has been designed to affect the game as little as possible while still allowing the server to operate for a long time.

In the Item Shop you will not find flashy lotteries, costumes, mounts, or time-limited items that require renewing every few days.

There are no Item Enhancements, Item Enchantments, Blessing Marbles, Blessing Scrolls, or other ready-made scrolls that would enable instant equipment upgrading.

The foundation of the Item Shop is Premium VIP priced at 50 PLN (approx. 12 EUR) / 30 days. Additionally, Wind Shoes are available at an attractive price.

By topping up your account with 100 PLN, you will receive enough Dragon Coins to purchase Premium VIP and Wind Shoes for a period of 60 days.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Clams from the Grotto / Red Forest?
    No
How often can Skill Books be read?
They reset at midnight, just like the Biologist quests. They can be read at any time of the day.
    Do characters miss attacks?
No, this has been fixed. Characters have standardized attack speed (max 160% / warriors max 180%) and do not miss attacks while attacking on horseback.
Level 75 weapons from the Grotto?
No, their only source is the Dead Ripper Chest.

  • Administration Activity

Our administrators have many tools to check players for the use of bots, automation scripts, and other abuses prohibited by the game rules.

We have protections in place against many possible abuses by external software.

We say a firm NO to any kind of automation. We support normal gameplay, therefore players can expect occasional messages from our administrators during gameplay to verify their presence at the computer if a character is performing activities in-game.

These messages will ALWAYS be marked with the administrator`s name in red and a distinctive GM icon in the envelope, so they can be clearly distinguished from a standard message from another player.

The administration will never ask for your account password or PIN.

A preview of an administrator message is shown below.

    RMT

    RMT - Real Money Trading.

The scene of our game has changed over the years, so we also need to address this topic in the presentation.
Project Hard is not focused on supporting Yang trading.

It is not that we want to completely forbid selling your progress for real currency, because we fully understand that a player may want to sell what they have achieved on their character at some point when they quit the game. But that moment is exactly the key point, because in our view it needs to be clearly separated.

Selling currency endlessly and playing only to sell it to others is one thing, and being able to sell your character and the achievements gained on it is another.

What cannot be sold for real currency?

  • Yang
  • Entire accounts
  • DC
  • Items such as upgrade materials / in-game drops

  • What can be sold for real currency?

  • A character packed into a chest together with permitted items (the chest prevents packing if the character has unwanted items or large amounts of Yang on it)
  • Equipment-type items - upgraded or with bonuses. This refers to items that characters can equip: weapons, armor, jewelry.
  • Why this approach?

  • This is meant to encourage creating new gear, using upgrade materials, and trading items on the market. If someone truly needs to earn money from the game, they can do so by helping maintain the server`s economy.
  • There is an option to cash out your progress in the game if someone no longer wants to play.
  • We promote improving characters and equipment, as well as adding and mixing bonuses - not listing everything in a shop just to repeat the process and sell currency to others.
  • It is regular players who keep servers alive through character progression, gear development, and daily gameplay - whether it is a few hours a week or frequent play with friends. This server is made for them, and they are who we intend to take care of.
  • Final Words

Project Hard includes many classic elements, but we are not afraid to bring in freshness and step beyond that comfort zone. To take what is good from it and transform it into something of our own - balanced - so that the game gains new life, which is needed after all these years of the game`s development.

Despite the improvements we introduce, we deliberately stay close to the foundations everyone knows well. We have many custom systems and solutions. We are striving to build a project for many years. We emphasize character progression, leveling, PvP development, as well as PvM, and that is what we will focus on in the future, so players have many opportunities to progress and motivation to keep playing.

Our monetization is just as clear-cut. We focus on transparency and fairness, offering some of the most affordable premium prices on the market while minimizing the impact of real money on gameplay balance. Project Hard remains a title where effort, skill, and time invested in the game matter - not your wallet.

Project Hard is being created with the community in mind - one that shares the same or a similar view of the game as we do. Thank you for being with us, and we invite more people to join us.
